    room layout
    lack of service

the 'four poster' room was absolutely ridiculous, with a creaky day bed crammed against the wall, making it a hassle to enter and exit. no snacks or decent tea bags provided. also, definetely expected at least a complimentary gesture for such deplorable arrangements. almost thought about giving a good review but just couldn’t, really disappointed

    spacious room
    generous breakfast
    welcoming hosts

Our stay was fantastic! The Cream Room was spacious and elegantly arranged. We enjoyed tea on the patio, and the breakfast was a real treat—fresh and generous. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, even letting us know about the Little Owl in their yard. Truly a memorable getaway! 😊

    comfortable beds
    peaceful atmosphere
    awkward bathroom
    limited supplies
    dusty surfaces

Comfortable beds, peaceful atmosphere, delightful breakfast featuring home-baked bread.

Bathroom setup awkward, requiring trips across the hallway for some rooms. Bedding felt overly soft with creased sheets and marks present. Limited tea/coffee supplies in the room, and a small seating area provided little space for relaxation.

    freshly baked bread
    awkward bathroom layout

    A warm and welcoming retreat

From the moment we arrived, Laura and Charles greeted us with warmth, offering us tea and interesting conversations. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the freshly baked bread and locally sourced ingredients.

The bathroom's layout was challenging, requiring navigation across the corridor at night, which could be awkward. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a little more attention to room details would enhance the experience.

Idyllic location at the end of a single track road surrounded by open countryside, making it a peaceful retreat. The room had an en-suite with views over farmland, which added to the charm of the stay.

The entrance instructions weren't ideal. we had trouble finding it in the dark due to the security light going out, which was a hassle, especially with rain. The bedroom layout in some rooms was awkward, forcing one person to climb over the other to access the bathroom, and some bathrooms weren't fully integrated into the rooms, sacrificing convenience. there's a mention that the garden isn't securely fenced for dog owners, limiting options for those traveling with pets.

    serene atmosphere
    exceptional breakfast
    awkward bathroom arrangement
    tense atmosphere
    uncomfortable interactions

The Green Room offers a serene atmosphere, ideal for couples seeking a quiet retreat. While the bathroom's arrangement was awkward, being across the hallway presented unexpected challenges, especially at night. Breakfast was exceptional, but the host's demeanor created a tense atmosphere, making interactions uncomfortable during our stay. the picturesque countryside surroundings are its greatest appeal.

    welcoming hosts
    beautiful garden view
    delicious breakfast
    unclear entrance instructions

charming stay but some minor issues

The hosts, Laura and Charles, made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, serving a lovely cup of coffee that was much appreciated. The view from our room was delightful, overlooking the lush garden, which added tranquility to our visit. Breakfast was a treat. freshly prepared and had a great selection to start the day on a high note.

    fantastic breakfast

Just a great fit for a weekend break in Micheldever with best value. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the locally sourced ingredients used. Bring your own snacks since there's no nearby restaurant from Mon to Weds.
